We are celebrating every year the Philippine Independence Day on the 12th day of June. In the year 1898, we celebrated the first Philippine Independence Day. In this year, we are celebrating the 21st century Independence Day with the theme “Kalayaan 2019: Pagbabagong Ipinaglaban, Alay sa magandang kinabukasan.”
The theme celebrates the economic
success of the country through the years and the struggles that has been solved. We are fighting the freedom that we deserve for us to have a peaceful, organized and bountiful future so that everyone’s sacrifices will be paid off. This was considered as holiday for us to celebrate. The day of celebration of war and love varied though out the nation’s history. We also honor the heroes who fought for us and sacrificed their lives for us to have a freedom especially our country, Philippines.
"The hard-fought progress,our sacrifices for a boyntiful future" translates the theme in which we should continue the fight until we reach the freedom we are longing to have.
